Rally Obedience

Rally obedience is an advanced obedience class which can lead to competition in both the APDT and AKC Rally-O programs.   It is a less formal form of obedience competition where the handler is encouraged to praise the dog and fun and enthusiasm are more important than precision.

Requirements: This class is for dog/handler teams who have completed the PBH Obedience Team Building class or who pass a free evaluation.  Dogs must be able to do the following in a group of other dogs and people:

    1. Heeling with auto-sit

    2. Fast, slow, normal speed heeling

    3. Recall, front, finish

    4. Sit and down stays in distraction

    5. Right and left turns

    5. About turns

  

Description:   Emphasis is on the Novice level exercises and includes:

bullet

Halt - sit

bullet Front and finish   
bullet Halt - down
bullet Slow, fast, normal paces
bullet 90 degree turns
bullet Side step
bullet U turns
bullet Spirals
bullet 270 degree turns
bullet Serpentine
bullet 360 degree turns
 

Schedule:  Class meets one hour a week for 6 weeks.  Please check the schedule for registration information.
